also-ran is a 4-piece band from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Inspired by bands like Weezer, Green Day, and blink-182, also-ran aims to bring something new to the listener’s ear while still paying homage to the groups that came before them. Not quite Pop-Punk and not quite Alt-Rock, also-ran uses chunky power chords and blazing guitar solos as building blocks to write music that simplifies complex emotions and encourages self-expression.
