Winnipeg born and raised, Dave L’Heureux knows his bass guitar better than Lemmy Kilmister knew how to play pinball. The 2020 winner of this same award is the veteran of many local bands but is best known for his long-standing tenure with the Murder Birds, a hard-hitting cover band that needs no introduction. Recently, with Dave holding down the four-string thunder, the ‘Birds have been busy supporting well-known acts such as DOA, the Real McKenzies, and Teenage Head. The man has only improved with age, and so what if he uses cheat sheets at practice, gets yelled at by the drummer, and talks too much on stage? There can only be one winner here and that man is Dave
