Ed Garcia is the host of Power Afternoons on Power 97 as well as River City Rocks and Iconic Albums. River City Rocks returned in 2023 after Ed saw Show Pony and The Haileys open for the Monowhales at Park Theatre and asked the power at be at Corus if we could do more to help showcase local talent. Power 97’s Promotions Manager Colin Lougheed suggested we bring back River City Rocks as a way to give local musicians platform and also help promote their shows with the River City Rocks Gig Guide.
