Since 2022, Second Floor Patients has barely been keeping it together as a 3-piece punk-rock Winnipeg project. The band turns their scatter brain thoughts into fast snappy songs with just the right amount of aggression and witty lyricism. After an involuntary admission forced bassist and frontman Seth into a 1-month stay on the second floor of a psych ward, the band formed as an outlet for those unchecked intrusive thoughts. With the addition of sweeping guitar riffs and solos from Jaleel, and the dangerously fast drumming of Justin, Second Floor Patients creates a sound that is just on the verge of falling apart into a chaotic mess of emotions. Inspired by bands like PUP, Joyce Manor, My Chemical Romance, and light J-Rock influences, Second Floor Patients rides an incredibly thin line between alt-rock and pop-punk rock, with a little bit of emo mixed in there.
